The seventh general meeting (R7) of the OceanoScientific® Programme took place on 25 June in Brest in the shared offices of IFREMER (French Research Institute for Exploration of the Sea) and IRD (Research Institute for the Development). On the agenda: first report of the ongoing OceanoScientific® Campaign - ARCTIC MISSION 2012 in Greenland on expedition schooner La Louise, with the support of the Veolia Environment Foundation; latest evolutions of the OceanoScientific® System Version 2.0; state of progress of the software prototype developed by IBM and ordered by SailingOne to strengthen the efficiency of the OceanoScientific® System; outlook on 2012-2013 developments as well as welcoming of Jordi Salat, Spanish expert of ICM-CSIC (Institut de Ciences del Mar - Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas). The next general meeting (R8) will take place in autumn in Lower Normandy.
